Safe Drive Ontario is an MTO-approved driving school with two locations, in Ottawa and Peterborough. Both offer the Beginner Driver Education (BDE) course, G2 and G road test preparation, and road test car rental.

Our bilingual Ottawa instructors teach in English or French and prepare students for the Walkley and Canotek DriveTest centres. G licence students practise highway driving on the Queensway (Highway 417).
Areas served: Downtown Ottawa, Nepean, Kanata, Orléans, Gloucester, Barrhaven, Stittsville, Centretown, Westboro and Vanier. Your instructor picks you up and drops you off at a convenient location.

Lessons are given in English, with French available on request. Our instructors focus on the streets around the Peterborough DriveTest Centre at 724 Lansdowne Street West, so you practise where your road test takes place.
Areas served: all lessons take place within the City of Peterborough. Students from Kawartha Lakes, Lindsay, Lakefield, Norwood, Selwyn, Bridgenorth, Millbrook and Havelock are welcome to come to Peterborough for their lessons.

- BDE course: the MTO-approved Beginner Driver Education program, with 20 hours of online theory, 10 hours of HomeLink homework and 10 hours of in-car instruction. Graduates can take the G2 road test four months sooner and may qualify for an insurance discount.
- In-car lesson packages: from 2 to 8 hours, for G2 or G preparation, covering parallel parking, three-point turns, lane changes and highway driving.
- Road test preparation: a focused session with a mock test on local DriveTest routes before your exam.
- Road test car rental: an insured, dual-brake instructor vehicle for your G2 or G road test.
Which Location Should You Choose?
Choose the location closest to the DriveTest centre where you plan to take your road test. Learning on the roads around your test centre is the best way to feel prepared on test day. If your test is booked at Walkley or Canotek, train with our Ottawa team; if it is at the Lansdowne Street centre, train in Peterborough.
