MTO-Approved Driver Education Available in Two Major Regions

Safe Drive Ontario proudly serves two of the largest cities in Eastern Ontario. Select your location below for specific course details, road test preparation tips, and local contact information.

Why Both Ottawa and Peterborough?

Safe Drive Ontario was founded on the principle that quality driver education should be accessible beyond just the GTA. By operating in both Ottawa (Ontario's second-largest city and the national capital) and Peterborough (a growing hub for the Kawartha Lakes region), we bring MTO-certified instruction to communities that are often underserved by large driving school chains.

Both cities have distinct driving environments that shape our curriculum. Ottawa students practise on multi-lane highways like the 417, busy urban corridors like Hunt Club and Baseline, and suburban streets in Kanata, Nepean, Barrhaven, and Orléans. Peterborough students train on a mix of downtown streets, rural highways, and the unique challenges of the Kawartha Lakes road network — including two-lane highways, wildlife crossings, and variable winter conditions.

No matter which location you choose, our instructors are fully certified, MTO-approved, and trained on the exact test routes used by local DriveTest examiners. That local knowledge — knowing which intersections examiners favour, where speed transitions happen, and what common mistakes students make — makes a measurable difference on test day.
