Safe Drive Ontario

1. Information We Collect

• Contact and request forms: your name, email address, phone number, preferred location, the package you are interested in, and your message.
• Purchases: your name, email address and the package purchased. Payments are made on the secure pages of Square or PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number.
• Student records: the information needed to deliver your training and report your certification, such as your name, contact details, date of birth, driver's licence details, a copy of your licence, course progress, in-car records, certificates and payment receipts.
• Website use: Google Analytics uses cookies to give us statistics about visits and clicks on our website.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To answer your questions and process your requests and purchases.
• To send your enrolment key, schedule your lessons and provide your training.
• To prepare and issue your certificate and report your completion to the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO).
• To keep the records required for our school.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it.

3. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our school:

• The Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, for certification.
• Our online course providers, GoGo and Trubicars, for your enrolment and course progress.
• Service providers that support our operations: Square and PayPal (payments), FormSubmit (website forms), Hostinger (website, email and server hosting), Google (email, spreadsheets, file storage and analytics) and Anthropic (AI tools that help us process orders and prepare student documents).

4. Hermes Drive and Google User Data

Hermes Drive is the internal tool that Safe Drive Ontario uses to store student files in the school's own Google Drive. It uses only the Google permission that limits access to files the tool itself creates or opens. It cannot read the other files in that Drive.

The tool uses this access only to create, organize and update school records. Data obtained through Google APIs is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not used to train AI models. The school's use of this data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Keeping Your Information

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal and MTO record-keeping obligations. We limit access to the people and tools that need it.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask questions about how we handle it. You can also limit cookies in your browser settings. Contact us using the details below.
